Life After Decay

2025, Installation: 14’ x 12’, large scale photos, video, sound
Part of the “Evolving Waters” project

The installation “Life After Decay“ was influenced by my exploration of Maryland’s Mallows Bay-Potomac River National Marine Sanctuary. Known as the “Ghost Fleet Ship Graveyard,” its waters contain over 100 decaying wooden steam ships dumped there shortly after WW I. Over a century later, this area has been rewilded and transformed into a self-sustaining ecological oasis.
