equilibrium
2025, Animation, Video: 110” x 34” and variable, color, silent
equilibrium is a 4:24 minute media loop utilizing both animation and live-action footage creating a collage of representational imagery and abstract worlds, using the confines of the windows that simulate boundaries. This projection draws on the concepts of imbalance and equilibrium by addressing loss of natural animal habitats while touching on the imbalance of ecosystems, nature, human overpopulation, hunger and migration (human and wildlife), and the evolving impact we have on each of our human and non-human relatives – advocating our human responsibility to adapt, exist and protect.
This is a site-specific project for the Parkway Theater, Baltimore, MD. Projected in vertical form to fit the exterior windows sized: 110″ high x 34″ wide.
